What The Alliance believes about God, how He relates to us, and how we relate to Him is foundational in its teachings. The Alliance wholeheartedly serves God and the people of His world, based soundly on the Bible. We live and die by these words and believe they bring the only life worth living—one wholly committed to the King Jesus. The U.S. Alliance is part of a Christ-centered global movement more than 6 million strong. Our Acts 1:8 family—inspired by Jesus’ love and empowered by His Spirit—is passionate to bring the good news about Him to our neighborhoods and world.

Our Alliance family celebrates Jesus—the image of the invisible God, the Lord of all Creation!

Our heartbeat is to know Jesus as our: Because of who He is and what He’s done, we are compelled to “go!” Humbled by the open invitation He extends to us—what we call the Great Commission—we join Him in His work to restore and reconcile lost and broken people to Himself. We Rely on His Spirit

Acts 1:8 is in our DNA. We are convinced it is only by the Holy Spirit’s empowerment that we can fully express Jesus’ love, compassion, and mercy to those who do not know Him.

OUR MISSION

The Mission of Cornerstone Church is to make disciples through prayer and the faithful teaching and preaching of the Word of God; to equip each member with the tools to win others to Christ, to love each other and to build our lives on the principles and firm foundation of Jesus Christ.

HISTORY OF CORNERSTONE

In the summer of 1998, Rev. Maxwell Ware felt an urging from the Lord to begin a church. The call from the Lord was scriptural based. Several scriptures were impressed on Pastor Ware: (1) “Lift up your eyes, the fields are white and ready for harvest;” (2) In Isaiah it says: “Who shall we send, and who shall go for us.” Pastor Ware also was impressed with a message by T.D. Jakes that stated, “Your decision releases your destiny.” God does not force anyone to do anything, but he presents an opportunity. Also, there is a standing command from the Lord “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.”
